The Directors

Elizabeth Hamilton

Hi! I’m Liz.

My journey has been a blend of art, movement, and passion. I began by studying Fine Arts: Dance and Kinesiology at York University, which ignited my fascination with the human body and its expressive potential. My love for creativity then led me to chef school, where I delved into the culinary arts. These experiences inspired me to become a certified Personal Trainer and Personal Chef, roles that allowed me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day.

Alongside my career in fitness and culinary arts, I was fortunate to work extensively with children. Their boundless energy, curiosity, and joy inspired me deeply, leading me to pursue a life in education. With the encouragement of my partner, Randy, Explore It! was born!

To better prepare for the demands of growing this company, I studied Early Childhood Education at George Brown College. I’m passionate about integrating E.C.E. core values into everything we do at Explore It! – whether it’s inspiring kids to stay active, helping them uncover their unique interests, or encouraging them to chase their talents. Working with children constantly reminds me of their incredible capacity to learn, often teaching me valuable lessons in return.

One of my greatest joys is producing our annual main-stage musical theatre productions in schools across the city. To ensure our young performers receive the best possible guidance, I make it a point to train with industry leaders in New York City each year. There’s nothing quite as magical as bringing a musical to life!

In addition to my work with Explore It!, I’ve pursued numerous Yoga Teacher Training certifications to deepen my connection with myself and enhance my teaching skills. I’m proud to be an accredited member of the Yoga Alliance, holding an E-RYT-500 certification along with Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher and Registered Pre- and Postnatal Yoga Teacher credentials. Promoting fitness, mindfulness, and happiness with both children and adults is one of my greatest passions.

I believe wholeheartedly that exploring our interests and discovering our passions – whether they’re fleeting or life-long – is the key to true joie de vivre. These experiences build self-confidence, individuality, and independence. That’s why I’m so thrilled to co-direct Explore It! Inc.. Our mission is to nurture creativity and growth in every child we have the privilege of working with, and I couldn’t imagine a more rewarding journey.

Randy Dobson

Hi! I’m Randy.

As a graduate of Political Science and Urban Studies from York University, I’ve always been passionate about fostering positive change within Canadian communities, social structures, and the environment. Growing up, I was fortunate to experience a wide range of childhood activities, from camps and sports to boating, games, and performing arts. These experiences shaped my belief that children are the key to building a positive and healthy future. Through programs like ours, I hope to inspire children to explore their interests and discover a lifelong love for learning.

My journey working with children and young people began early, first as a babysitter and then as a Camp Counsellor for the YMCA. Over the years, I’ve taken on a variety of roles, including Seasonal Supervisor at Canada’s Wonderland, Manager at Toys “R” Us, and Coordinator for the Mississauga International Children’s Festival. Each experience deepened my commitment to creating enriching and meaningful opportunities for young minds. Today, I’m thrilled to bring my decades of experience with GTA-based businesses to Explore It! Inc., a venture that is as fun as it is rewarding.

In addition to my background in youth programming, I’ve had the privilege of building a successful career in the business world, serving in senior management roles with Canadian companies. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to help Explore It! Inc. thrive. One of the most fulfilling parts of my role is supporting our talented roster of instructors as they guide the children in our programs toward making their dreams a reality. It’s inspiring to work alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals who truly care about what they do.
